On September 29, 2017, the awarding ceremony of China Civil-Military Technology Application Competition was held in Chengdu, marking the successful completion of the second session of the competition lasting for five months. Luo Wen, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Wang Li, Vice Minister of the Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Commission, Long Hongshan, chief engineer of State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, PRC, Huang Rong, Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Peng Yuhang, Vice Governor of the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, and Huang Fengxiang, deputy inspector of the Department of National Defense of the Ministry of Finance, and leaders from other relevant units attended the awarding ceremony and visited the project exhibition. Our company won the bronze award in this competition. We will be neither arrogant nor discouraged, and continue to work hard to go further and further along the road of civil-military integration, making more outstanding contributions to civil-military integration!

 

Jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the Equipment Development Department of the Central Military Commission, the Training Management Department of the Central Military Commission, All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the People’s Government of Sichuan Province, the competition aims to stimulate the enthusiasm of various subjects and accelerate the transformation and application of technological achievements.

 

At the awarding ceremony, Vice Minister Luo Wen, on behalf of the sponsors, fully affirmed the new mode to organize the competition through the joint efforts of all parties, and the actual effect of the competition in promoting the project implementation. Meanwhile, it was pointed out that to hold the competition is the vivid practice of implementing the strategic thinking presented by General Secretary Xi Jinping for the development of civil-military integration. We should establish the concept of “large-scale industry” and “grand defense”, and open up the channel for rapid transfer and transformation of civil-military technology. With the actual effect as the goal, the sponsor and organizer should pay attention to the key links such as achievement promotion and policy support to support the transformation and application of the project; with talents as the foundation, the sponsor and organizer should attach importance to personnel training and team building, and conscientiously implement incentive policies and measures.

Our company is honored as a public service platform for civil-military integration

China Civil-Military Technology Application Competition (hereinafter referred to as “the competition”) has been held for two consecutive sessions. The vast number of civil-military enterprises in Hebei Province actively participated in the competition, and a total of 13 projects have won awards. Among them, Tangshan Weihao Magnesium Powder Co., Ltd. participated in the competition with the project “Preparation of high-purity spheroidized series magnesium alloy powder materials”, and won the bronze award in the second session of the competition.

Through the unremitting efforts of the R&D team of Tangshan Weihao Magnesium Powder Co., Ltd., on the basis of its own patent for invention of atomized magnesium powder, another major technological breakthrough has been achieved, in which a new product of nanocrystalline high-purity atomized spherical magnesium alloy powder was developed. The particle size range of the product was further improved. The size of nanocrystals mainly ranges from 100 to 3000nm, with concentrated distribution, active metal content greater than 98.5%, and the sphericity greater than 95%. The room temperature mechanical properties of the components prepared by high pressure forming and spark plasma sintering through AZ91 magnesium alloy powder in the series products (pressing temperature 250℃, sintering temperature 300℃) are as follows: Tensile strength 420MPa, yield strength 390Mpa, grain size of the components 100-300nm. The mechanical properties of the components prepared by the warm pressing sintering method through ZK61 magnesium alloy powder (temperature 300℃ and pressure load 1000KN) are as follows: Tensile strength 410 Mpa, yield strength 380 MPa, elongation rate 9.5%, and the grain size of the component ranging from 100 to 300nm. The mechanical properties of the components are better than that of ordinary atomized powder.
